Joseph Pilates, aged 77 What is Pilates?
Pilates is a body conditioning method originally developed by Joseph Pilates around the time of the First World War; it works by targeting your deep postural muscles, building strength from the inside out, rebalancing your body and bringing it into correct alignment. With the aim of achieving harmony between mind and body, Pilates helps to reshape your body, allowing it to become longer, leaner and more toned.

Can it help me?
Yes, Pilates benefits everyone!! No matter what your age or state of health you will learn to be in control of your body and your breathing. Your body awareness and focus will be improved and tension released, allowing you to improve your posture, find the perfect balance between strength and flexibility and build a girdle of strength.
